8 Things to Never Buy From Your Drugstore

8 Things to Never Buy From Your Drugstore

New Year sales are happening everywhere. Before you jump in and start adding more stuff to your basket in the drug store, take a look at the eight things below that you should never get – even if they are under drugstore deals.

  1. Diapers

If you have a baby, diapers are a big part of your life, whether you like it or not. But do not purchase them in drugstores because they always charge more. So where should you get these indispensable products? Basically, buying your diapers anywhere else is the better option.

  1. Milk

Grocery stores are your best bet for milk in terms of price and freshness. In drugstores, you just never know how long they have been around, and there were reported cases when drugstores have been found selling expired milk and eggs. Even if it is convenient to get milk while picking up a prescription, it is just not worth it.

  1. Vitamins and supplements

Surprised? This is one of the most obvious things to buy at a drugstore, but it turns out, you can get vitamins and supplements for far cheaper at big-box stores.

  1. Toilet paper

It is a bad day when you run out of toilet paper, so buy it in bulk and save more money. Again, go to your big-box store for the best value.

  1. Makeup

In a recent comparison survey, it has been found that mascara was an average of $2 cheaper per tube at a big-box store versus a drugstore.

  1. Charcoal

You will go through a lot of charcoal whether you are barbecuing or lighting the fireplace. Do not pay the drugstore tariff on your briquets. Just buy your charcoal in bulk elsewhere to get more bang for your buck.

  1. Frozen treats

When temperatures rise, ice cream and popsicles are lifesavers. But not for your wallet if you get them in drugstores. The mark up is higher! You can always get the same nice frozen treat at a dollar store for better value.

  1. Beach chairs

They are cheaper in drugstores but the purchase is not worth it in the long run. The quality and lifespan are lower. You will have to quickly replace them altogether and shed money again. It is best to buy your beach chairs at warehouse stores for quality and price.
